Dr. Emile Antoun

 

Emile Antoun began his professional career as a general surgeon in Cairo, Egypt.  In 1968, the Lord called him to serve the youth at the Heliopolis Evangelical Church in Cairo.  In the same year, Dr. Antoun was ordained as an elder at the same church. 

In 1982, Dr. Antoun immigrated to the United States with his wife Suzy and four sons, Adel, Amin, Philip and Nader.  He continued working as a physician at the Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, Virginia, while also serving in various ministries, until his retirement from medicine in 2000.

In February 1986, Dr. Antoun was asked to start a Sunday school class at Columbia Baptist Church for Arabic speaking people.  In response to his calling, in 1997, Dr. Antoun was ordained into the ministry as pastor for this congregation.  The Lord has blessed this ministry, Ambassadors for Jesus, tremendously over the years as it continues to reach out to the Arabic-speaking community in the Northern Virginia area with the gospel of Jesus Christ.  On Sunday evenings at 6:00 p.m., Dr. Antoun, or Pastor Antoun as he is known by his congregation, along with his wife Suzy, host an Arabic worship service in the chapel at Columbia Baptist.  The service is held simultaneously with Sunday school classes for all school age children.  Nursery care is also provided. 

In 2004, the Lord opened a door of opportunity to begin a meeting at the International Christian Ministries Center in Fairfax, Virginia.  This group meets each Saturday evening at 6:00 p.m. for worship and fellowship.

بدأ  د. إميل أنطون حياتة العملية كطبيب جراح بالقاهرة – مصر. و فى عام 1968 دعاه الرب لخدمة الشباب فى الكنيسة الأنجيلية بمصر الجديدة ، و فى هذا العام إيضا تم أختيارة شيخا بالكنيسة.

هاجر د. إميل أنطون إلى الولايات المتحدة فى عام 1982 برفقة زوجته م.سوزى و أبنائه الأربعة عادل ، أمين ، فيليب ، نادر  و أستمر بالعمل كطبيب فى مستشفى " ألكساندريا " بشمال ڤرجينيا بالأضافة إلى خدمة الرب حتى تقاعد عن العمل كطبيب فى عام 2000.

In 2008, another opportunity to reach Arabic speaking people in the area opened at Grace Fellowship Church in South Riding, Virginia, where a Bible study in Arabic is held on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m.

In addition to the above meeting locations, the gospel message presented by Pastor Antoun is also available upon request on Compact-Discs.

The Ambassadors for Jesus hosts an annual conference during the summer, as well as, revival meetings throughout the year.  The next event, the 22^nd Conference, will be held in July 2010.

فى فبراير 1986 دُوعىَ د. إميل أنطون لبدء خدمة مدارس الأحد لمتحدثى اللغة العربية بكنيسة كولومبيا المعمدانية . و فى عام 1997 تم أختيار و تعيين  د. إميل  راعياً بالكنيسة لخدمة متحدثى اللغة العربية. و قد بارك الرب خدمة " سفراء عن يسوع " بشكل رائع على مر السـنون  و تواصل الخدمة نشر رسالة يسوع المسيح  لكل متحدثو العربية بمنطقة شمال ڤرجينيا من خلال الأجتماعات و الأنشطة الروحية حيث يرعى القس د. إميل و زوجته م.سوزى كل يوم أحد بكنيسة كولومبيا المعمدانية الساعة  6:00م الأجتماع العام و الذى يصاحبة خدمة مدارس الأحد لكل الأعمار و كذلك رعاية خاصة لصغار السن .

كما أتاح الرب فرصة فى عام 2004 لبدء أجتماع جديد فى مركز الخدمات المسيحية ICM   فى مدينة "فير فاكس" الساعة 7:00م كل يوم سبت.

و فى سنة 2008 أتاح الرب فرصة جديدة لوصول الخدمة لمزيد من متحدثى اللغة العربية بمنطقة "ساوث رايدنج" من خلال إجتماع درس الكتاب الساعة 7:00م كل يوم خميس بكنيسة النعمة "جريس فيلو شيب" فى ساوث رايدنج.

و بالأضافة للأجتماعات الأسبوعية السابق ذكرها ، يسعد الكنيسة تقديم مجموعة من العظات المسجلة لكل من يرغب.

تعقد الكنيسة العديد من النهضات الأنتعاشية . كذلك المؤتمر الروحى السنوى كل صيف  و موعدنا مع المؤتمر الروحى الــ 22 بأذن الرب فى شهر يوليوعام 2010.
